Eddie B 10.23 something along the lines of "I'm back in the headlines"

This site gets worse for criticism of the players, as per usual we have half the squad out injured so the players many mention are squad players and wouldn't be pulling on the jersey with a fully fit or near fully fit squad

Without some of them here we'd be really fucked

Obiang is 26? He is proper average though.

First hour was terrible. Seemed to be worrying about them too much instead of taking it to em and closing em down when they had it.
Antonio livened it up and gave em something to think about (running at em on the right wing, as he should do). Anderson had a go but there was a distinct lack of movement everywhere else and too many ballwatchers.
And it goes without saying, the geordie ponce and perez can fuck off out of it. Should be nowhere near any set up, let alone the first team.

Anyway, we'll beat the Brummies in the cup and get back on track.

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Brighton - Official Match Thread FT 2-2
not leaving at least one player up while defending corners drives me mad. Brighton had at least 5 players outside the box from corners while we were all crammed in the penalty area marking each other and confusing things. when (if) cleared there's no chance of a quick break. what is the point of having players like andersen back defending corners? at one point snodgrass was trying to order perez up the pitch but they are all obviously under orders to pack the box at corners - and it's not working......

On a positive note, it seems we are no longer dead and buried the minute we go behind.

Indeed. Now in 6th place on our own, in the points gained from losing position table.

If anybody's interested.

Snodgrass, Perez, Obiang and Noble aged 31.
Can't imagine why were still so average...

The Snodgrass love in is over really, he was absolutely shit.

Noble and Antonio changed the game, delighted for the former after the fucking criticism he cans after a bad defeat.

Perez and Carroll were absolutely embarrassing - both can fuck off.

Played well last night....

After going 2-0 down, why cant we play like that from the start of the game. First half we were terrible on the ball, created nothing and didnt have a midfielder that wanted to play in the hole to link the balls from the back to the frontmen or to spread the ball 30-40 yards quickly to get it to Cresswell when he was in space. Snodgrass was wasted out wide yet again, he needs to play central....in the hole being a goal threat and runs from deep to be effective. Carroll was a complete waste of time, service into him was poor.....but he was like a rebounder net....Murray holding up everything didnt help him either. Deserved to be hooked at HT.

2nd half conceding 2 shit goals from set pieces like that is criminal, thought Pellegrini was making the wrong subs bringing on Nobes and Antonio but they both changed the game. At 2-2 thought we would go on to win it, with the results around us its not the worst point in the world. Time for them to get some much needed rest and go again against Arsenal saturday week

Probably why he yanked the otherwise OK Snodgrass instead of Anderson.

'If our finishing eleven had started the game we would have won the match.'

Not least because our captain appeared to fire a rocket up everybody's arse. It's something to consider when selecting the team.

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Brighton - Official Match Thread FT 2-2
Pellegrini was pissed off because the team trained to defend corners where BHA score most of their goals

Snods and Perez were both ball watching when Stephens ran in between them and scored the first goal

'Officiating was god awful. GOD awful.'

I'm going to correct you slightly here, mate. The refereeing was bloody awful. The linos actually got just about everything right, including at least one very tight important call each.

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Brighton - Official Match Thread FT 2-2
If our finishing eleven had started the game we would have won the match. Our first half performance was as ineffective and unentertaining as almost most of our performances under BFS, Moyes and the later Bilic debacles.

To me Pellegrini had us playing this match wrong way around.

Still underachieving, we should be clear in 7th place and looking to move upwards. How much longer are smller clubs like Leicester & Wolves let alone the likes Brighton, Watford & Bournemouth going to be our rivals?

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Brighton - Official Match Thread FT 2-2
We were shit for at least 60 minutes last night, although I'm slightly baffled by the Cresswell and Snodders bashing, as, along with Rice, they appeared to be the only two trying for the most part.

On a positive note, it seems we are no longer dead and buried the minute we go behind.

On a negative note, Perez is MUCH worse than a knackered Carroll.

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Brighton - Official Match Thread FT 2-2
ah well. Its was fun while it lasted . We've peaked this year and I predict this will be our end of season position- at best.

Seeing the game last night is clear without Anderson doing anything and against a well organised defence-ively minded side, we can play the ball in front of them all fucking night long however unless anyone is prepared to drop a shoulder and break a tackle ( kudos Mark Noble & Antonio ) then we wont score in a month of wednesday nights.

Really fucking awful performances was what i thought we'd got out of our system. Oh no- we';ve got plenty of them left in the bank...

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Brighton - Official Match Thread FT 2-2
Did Anderson actually hit a pass with the right weight last night ?

Everything he did came up short. So overrated

Don't get me wrong, he's won us a few games this season with his goals - but if he doesn't score, he literally does nothing. And the goals will dry up

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Brighton - Official Match Thread FT 2-2
All I really want now is for us to finish the season with a positive goal difference - A Nursey and draw the rest will do that. Will keep us about where we are now, although I've not done the mathSSSSS.
